Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 1 2026
Luma is a private advisory. Discretion is not a feature of how we work — it is the foundation of it. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website or get in touch with us, how we use it, how we store it, and what your rights are.
This policy applies to findluma.co and any communications you have with us through it. It is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
What information we collect
We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit the website.
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if provided
- Any other details you choose to share in the enquiry field
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, pass your details to third parties for commercial purposes, or use them for any purpose beyond the conversation you have initiated with us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit findluma.co, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how the site is used. This includes information such as which pages were visited, how long was spent on each page, and the general geographic region of the visitor. This data does not identify you personally.
Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to collect this information. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we store and handle your information
Enquiry information submitted through our contact form is stored securely on our website server. We take reasonable steps to ensure that all confidential information is:
- Stored securely and accessed only by authorised individuals
- Not shared informally or unnecessarily
- Handled with the same standard of discretion we apply across all of our work
During an active client engagement, we may communicate with you through email, phone, or messaging platforms including WhatsApp. While these channels offer accessibility and practical convenience, we treat all communication as a professional space. We do not use informal channels carelessly and we document significant matters appropriately.
We are aware that no digital platform can be guaranteed entirely risk-free, and we communicate proportionately and carefully on that basis.
How long we keep your information
For website enquiries that do not lead to an engagement, we retain your information only for as long as the conversation is live. For active and completed client engagements, information is retained for 12 months after the engagement ends, unless we are legally required to keep it for longer. After that period, information is deleted.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Where our work requires us to share information — for instance with a school, therapist, or other professional involved in supporting your family — we do so only:
- With your explicit consent, wherever possible
- Where it is necessary to support alignment, safety, or effective delivery of our services
- In a way that is purposeful, proportionate, and limited to what is necessary
If immediate sharing is required for safeguarding or legal reasons, we inform families promptly and transparently. Please see the Legal page for more on the limits of confidentiality.
The only third party that processes data collected on this website automatically is Google, in connection with Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Cookies
This website uses cookies for two purposes: standard WordPress functionality, which keeps the website operating correctly, and Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the website is being used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the website function, but will not prevent you from accessing or using the site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to how we are using your information
- Ask us to restrict our use of your information
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@findluma.co. We will respond within one month.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
